Analyze the structure and assembly mechanism of African swine fever virus (Prof. Bu Zhigao’s team at Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of CAAS, and Prof. Rao Zihe and Wang Xiangxi’s teams at Institute of Biophysics of CAS)

Bu Zhigao’s team at Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of CAAS, and Rao Zihe and Wang Xiangxi’s team at Institute of Biophysics of CAS together first comprehensively illuminated fine three-dimensional structure of African swine fever virus particles. African swine fever virus is the biggest virus whose structure has been resolved at near atomic resolution world widely. This study helps to explore the mechanisms of the invasion of African swine fever virus into host cells and host antiviral immune against virus infection.
