Supportive policies for CAAS Outstanding Talents

CAAS has developed a set of policies to support outstanding agricultural talents both at home and abroad. The policies will assist with recruiting high-level talent, attracting and cultivating high-end science and technology talent while encouraging innovation and creativity.

The special policies of Interim Measures for Management of Special Support for Talent of CAAS Outstanding Talents are mainly extended to full-time researchers introducing to or working at CAAS and are classified in three categories: top talents, leading talents and young talents. CAAS provides these talents with research funds and annual subsidies.

For full-time (including contract personnel) staff who are mainly engaged in technology transfer and support service, the Implementation Plan of Special Support for Supporting Talent of CAAS and the Implementation Plan of Special Support for Transformative Talent of CAAS were issued. The selected candidates will be given a subsidy and special support in capability improvement, career promotion, project support, etc..

By the end of 2022, CAAS had 422 CAAS Outstanding Talent, among whom 16 were top talent, 258 leading talent, 103 young talent, 5 supporting young talent and 5transformative young talent.
